James Finch MD (Co-director) is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine with over 25 years of experience working with addictive disorders. He helped co-found and was Asst. Director of the Duke Addictions Program, was Education Director of the Governor’s Institute on Substance Abuse, and is a past president of the NC Society of Addiction Medicine. He has published numerous articles and book chapters and is a sought-after clinical trainer. Dr. Finch began working with buprenorphine (Suboxone) for the treatment of opioid addiction shortly after it was released and is one of the most experienced physicians in its use in NC.
